I had got quite some number of questions regarding how I display post thumbnails here on my blog. So I decided to write a tutorial about the different methods that you can use to display post thumbnails. Post Thumbnails will look good on your blog if you are using the Blogger Jump Break Feature to efficiently control the post excerpt that gets displayed on non-post pages. So here are the methods:
Post Thumbnails for Blogger
Grid Layout For the Popular Posts Widget
A few days back, I published the JavaScript version of the Recent Posts widget, and I loved the Grid Layout of the Widget. One of the most popular Widgets used by Bloggers is Blogger’s Official Popular Post Widget. So I decided to edit the gadget, and give it the Grid Style.
Recent Posts Widget with Thumbnails
Recent Posts Widget for Blogger will display the latest posts from your blog on your blog's sidebar along with images, summary and more. You can customize the widget using the different options provided in the widget installer. At least some of you would be familiar with My "Recent Posts with Thumbnails" Gadget for Blogger. I had got so many complaints that the Gadget fails to load or has some issues. The issues come from the Blogger Gadget API framework and so I decided to port that gadget and make a Widget version of the same. This version doesn't depend on the Blogger Gadget API and doesn't have any such issues. This is a pure JavaScript Widget which doesn't depend on any APIs or frameworks.
